Al-Iman Education
Al-Iman Foundation Child Sponsorship Program is a holistic child development intervention aiming to empower children with adequate services to thrive.
The focus of the program is to impart skills and knowledge to the children by qualified personnel while providing the children with resources that enable them to reach their full potential.
Boys and girls are provided with boarding facilities, separate for boys and girls, fully equipped with bedding and wash resources.
Both facilities have electricity and a borehole functioning as a water backup. Each has a in-service Masjid where they are able to observe their daily prayers including attending Jumu’ah prayers.
Secular and Islamiyaat Education is provided through the Al-Iman Combined School which employs services of qualified teachers and uses modern methods of teaching. A low teacher to learner ratio allows for better interaction with the students and improved performance overall. The school is registered with the Department of Basic-Education (reg. 700401087) and is aligned with the CAP’s & Jamiat Curricula.
Al Iman Foundation also employs the services of a professional chef who heads a fantastic kitchen team in a well equipped kitchen serving children nutritious meals daily.
Learners receive stationery and uniforms from the foundation and are first priority in all projects that the foundation undertakes like clothing distributions, Qurbani and El-Fitrah clothing.
Additional services like health screening, extra-curricular activities and life skills events are normally held through the services of external professionals, on pro-bono bases.
